Description

A Pelleted Grain Ration designed as a supplementary feed for early-weaned lambs.

Application

• Supplementary feeding lambs after 6 weeks of age.
• Creep Feeding lambs while on the ewes.

Feeding Directions

• Seek the advice of a Ridley AgriProducts Territory Manager. Phone 1300 666 657.
• Ensure appropriate husbandry procedures are completed prior to starting the feeding program.
• Ensure all lambs are full when starting on feed by supplying palatable roughage to appetite for the first day.
• Supply roughage as hay or pasture, to appetite at all times.
• Start lambs on 1 kg per 10 lambs, per head per day.
• Gradually increase the feeding rate up to appetite over a 21day period.
• Ensure that lambs have access to cool clean water at al times.
• When using self- feeders, restrict the slide opening to ensure that lambs have to lick or nibble the feed from the feeder. This will help prevent lambs from engorging on the feed.
• It is advisable to keep a small number of adult sheep in with the lambs for the first week to coax them onto the feed.
  

WARNING Do not feed to starving stock. Do not feed to animals other than sheep and cattle. Do not feed to lactating ewes where milk or milk products may be used for human consumption.

Storage Requirements

Store undercover in cool, ventilated, dry place, below 30 degrees celcius, protected from sunlight.
