Our technical services team are available to give phone and on-farm advice to customers. In the first instance Rohan Lomax in our Customer Service Centre can provide general advice and arrange for more in depth consultations from our animal nutritionists.

Aquaculture
				Richard Smullen Aqua Feed Technical Manager Dr Richard Smullen has been in the aquaculture industry for the last 15 years. After his PhD on Shrimp Broodstock Nutrition he was a post doctoral researcher and lecturer at The Institute of Aquaculture, Stirling University. After leaving the academic environment Richard worked for BioMar - the third largest fish feed manufacturer in the world, as the Technical and Product Development Manager. Since October 2003, Richard has been the Technical Manager at Ridley Aqua-Feeds.

Beef and Sheep
				Matthew Callaghan National Beef / Sheep Technical Manager Industry Experience Completed university in 1998 - began working in dairy industry in southern Queensland. In 2000 began working in pig / cattle nutrition consultancy business in central Queensland. In 2003 joined Ridley AgriProducts in Rockhampton as regional sales manager. Qualification Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Hons) University of Queensland Undertaking PhD on the effects of pre-weaning nutrition on age at puberty, scrotal circumference and semen quality in bulls. (began July 06)
				Tim Harrington Ruminant Technical Manager Dairy Industry Experience Following an honours degree in animal science and postgraduate research in nutrition (protein digestion in ruminants), Tim worked in the UK as a consultant nutritionist for 12 years specialising in dairy, beef and sheep nutrition. He then worked for Associated British Nutrition (ABN) as Ruminant Technical and Marketing Manager for 6 years. He moved to Australia in 2002 to work for Ridley AgriProducts as Dairy Technical Manager and since 2004 has been the Ruminant Technical Manager. Qualifications B.Sc. (Hons.) 				Andre Nel Technical Dairy Services Manager Dairy Cattle Industry Experience Andre was raised on his parents beef farm in South Africa. After obtaining his degree in 1991 his first role was as a mill manager and nutritionist for a small integrated pork operation Delsma Farms near Cape Town. He then managed a 500-cow dairy farm for 3 years before deciding to pursue his nutrition career further in Australia. He initially worked as a nutrition consultant with Best-fed Nutrition for three and a half years. He then took on the role of senior nutritionist with Pivot before joining Ridley AgriProducts as their Dairy Services Manager in 2001. 				David Conheady Dairy Services Officer Dairy Cattle Industry Experience David grew up on his family dairy farm and spent 12 months working in the artificieal breeding industry, during college before working for 16 months on a large scale cropping and stud merino enterprise in Western Australia. David has been working at Ridley for almost 5 years starting in the role of territory manager. He is responsible for the provision of technical services to dairy customers throught areas between Adelaide to Geelong. 				Caroline Brown Dairy Services Officer Dairy Cattle Industry Experience Caroline joined the Ridley Team in March 2005. Her role is to provide nutrition advice and support to dairy customers and company staff. Caroline has experience in sheep, beef and dairy enterprises. A highlight was working in Ohio, USA in 2004 to complete study and research in endophytes in Tall Fescue pastures. Pigs
				Chris Brewster Technical Sales Manager - Pigs Industry Experience Chris joined Ridley AgriProducts in 2004. He spent 7 years with NSW Agriculture working as a Livestock Officer and 4 years working with Bunge Meat Industries (now QAF Meats) as a Nutrition Research Officer. Chris was awarded a Churchill fellowship in 2000 to travel to the UK and investigate the use of liquid feeding in the British pig industry. 				Judy O'Keefe Technical Manager - Poultry Industry Experience Judy worked as a nutritionist with Barastoc from 1988 to 1992. Then worked as senior nutritionist at Colborn-Dawes/Roche for 6 years. Judy joined Ridley Agriproducts in July 2001 and is the Technical Manager Poultry. Qualifications Bachelor of Agricultural Science (Hon) La Trobe University 1988
