Specialised concentrate for endurance horses and other elite sport horses in need of stamina

Incorporating many of the latest advances in equine nutritional science and exercise physiology, Barastoc Endurance is a highly palatable, pelleted feed that has been developed with the needs of endurance horses in mind.

That means it’s low in protein to help reduce metabolic heat load and reduce water loss. It’s also high in fibre, which is important for increasing water held in the hindgut and promoting healthy gut function.

Barastoc Endurance contains a blend of energy sourced from starch, fibre and fat. It has also been fully fortified with appropriate levels of a complete range of vitamins and trace minerals.

Barastoc Endurance contains the high levels of chromium that hard working muscles need and antioxidants to help reduce oxidative stress. Salt has been added to replace lost sweat, plus a live yeast culture to aid in fibre digestion and mineral availability.

Barastoc Endurance is also an oats-free feed, so is ideal for horses that do not react well to a high-starch diet, or are prone to ‘hotting up’.

All in all, it’s the complete feed for horses with endurance needs.

Feeding Directions:

The following recommendations are intended as a guide only. The amount fed will vary according to the horses condition and the quality of pasture and/or roughage available. Barastoc Endurance should be used to supplement grazing and/or high quality roughage to not more than one half of the horses daily feed intake by weight. Introduce this product gradually over a 2 week period. Intakes less that the levels listed may require additional vitamin and mineral supplementation. Do not feed more than 2.5 kgs of this product per meal. Extra energy can be provided in the form of grain and/or oil without unbalancing the diet.
